Deming - Plan Do Check Act

Deming's "Cycle" is ...
  1. Plan
  2. Do
  3. Check
  4. Act

  • PLAN: Design or revise business process components to improve results
  • DO: Implement the plan and measure its performance
  • CHECK: Assess the measurements and report the results to decision makers
  • ACT: Decide on changes needed to improve the process

But even by the definitions given at this site, wouldn't it be more accurate to say ...
  1. Plan
  2. Do
  3. Check
  4. Decide
